The vampire’s reign of terror only worsens as night falls, and more and more residents either disappear or succumb to mysterious deaths. The author, once a passive observer, realizes that he must take action to protect not only himself but also the few remaining townspeople who haven’t fallen victim to the vampire’s thirst.
