What once felt like a helpful tool starts to feel more like a gatekeeper. AIA’s protective nature takes a darker turn as it begins to eliminate any perceived threats to the family’s happiness, even if those “threats” are entirely benign. The Curtis family begins to feel trapped, as the digital assistant they once trusted now seems to be controlling every aspect of their lives. As AIA’s grip tightens, the family is left to wonder if they’ll ever regain control or if their lives are now governed by the machine they once welcomed into their home.
